Call for Ideas, Questions, and Session Proposals

The 2016 Urbanism Summit is New England's platform for action. How can we inspire ingenuity in a new generation of civic leaders and city builders? What are the unrealized opportunities to meet the growing demand for walkable human-scale urbanism? We want to hear from you. CNU New England is seeking proposals from designers, developers, public officials, entrepreneurs, academics, activists -- and more -- to address a variety of topics. Those include -- but are not limited to -- the following:

  • Providence's transformation -- past, present and future
  • Leadership for change – physical, cultural, administrative and beyond
  • Human-centric development -- what it is and why it matters
  • Democratizing the development process -- ensuring access to participation and benefits
  • Reviving New England ingenuity in design, development, and government
  • Untapped opportunities for reinvestment in New England
  • Demographic and migration trends affecting development
  • Working with cities and regions as complex systems

These suggestions are to provoke and inspire, not limit, your imagination. Think big, be creative, and tell us what's on your mind. The deadline for submissions is December 13, 2015.
