Land Use Program Manager
Full time, senior level position available with the Franklin Regional Council of Governments, the Regional Planning Agency for Franklin County, MA.
This position is responsible for managing the land use planning program in the Planning Department including supervising 1-2 planners, preparing grant applications and budgets, and administering grants.
Responsibilities include developing Master Plans, Community Development Plans, Open Space and Recreation Plans and other planning documents. In addition, this position provides technical assistance to towns for Special Permits, Site Plan Review, Zoning Bylaws, and Subdivision Regulations. The position is also responsible for working on regional projects related to land use planning such as regional policy and renewable energy plans.
Candidate must possess a Master’s Degree in planning, government, or a related field and five years of responsible experience in the field of land use planning. Experience working with local municipal officials on Zoning Bylaws and Subdivision Regulations essential.
Hiring Range: $50,000 - $56,000 (37.5 hours per week) depending on experience, plus full benefits.
